Will my milk fully come in?

First time mom. My baby is 5 days old and couldn't latch due to my inverted nipples. Ever since the hospital I've been pumping religiously to try and get milk. For the first time yesterday I was able to get about 2oz total throughout the day. But that's not nearly enough to feed baby. How long does it take for milk to fully come in? Or is this it? Feeling super discouraged and useless that I can't feed my baby.

try a nipple shield..For inverted nipples..Medela makes one!

pumping doesn't indicate how much you make. keep getting babe to latch and as long as he's having wet and dirty diapers and gaining weight, he'll be fine. they don't need much because they're tummies are so small

Everything that comes out is enough for baby especially if it's colostrum. Baby's stomach is quite small at this point so just feed as often as possible and find a lactation consultant to continue helping with the latch

Please meet with an IBCLC asap so you can nurse your baby. Many women have successfully done so with inverted nipples. Having some help will long a long way

Keep pumping and working on latch. Are you drinking enough water? 80-100 oz a day of water/liquids is recommended for optimum milk. If your body is dehydrated milk gets bumped down on priority list.

So I got the shield and was told by lactation consultant to wait until my milk comes in completely. But I'm still not producing a lot. It's almost been a week. Starting to think it's not ever coming.

Ask for a shield! Thats what i had to use!

my friend's daughter had a hard time because one of her nipples were inverted she had to use nipple shields until her nipples I guess kind of popped out and then she didn't have a problem after that
