artificial insemination or adoption?

I am gonna start off by saying that this whole post comes from love and deep confusion I'm not trying to say anyone made a bad choice just asking. why would anyone go through thousands of dollars of medical procedures to have a child with many many medical issues -to the point where the child getting a cold means a week of hospitalization- why would someone go through that when there are thousand thousands of children who are already alive or about to be born who need the home? adoption is cheaper, it's  more ecofriendly, it's safer for mother and child. I just see literally zero benefit of the artificial insemination please explain.

Having a child with IVF doesn't mean having a sick child. Any child could be sick or have a disease, even those children you adopt.

Some people want to feel pregnancy, grow life within them, birth a baby, and raise a biological child. It's a choice.

It isn't the job of all infertile women to adopt all of the unwanted children of the world.

1. Many healthy babies are born from ivf.
2. Most people wouldn't intentionally get pregnant knowing the child would suffer and constantly be hospitalized.
3. There is nothing wrong with wanting a child that is biologically theirs.
4. Adoption is amazing, but isn't best for everyone.
Maybe do a little research before sounding ignorant.
Personally I'd choose adoption over ivf, but I also have 2 biological children already, and have always been interested in fostering.

How does artificial insemination equal a child with issues and being prone to illness? If that's your argument for adoption then no one should ever have a baby again bc it's a risk that the baby will have medical problems. Furthermore, that baby up for adoption when it's born might have medical problems.

This is the most ignorant post I've seen. Firstly, I'm not sure why you think a child born through the help of science automatically means it will have some sort health problem? Secondly, as someone who is going theough IVF, I shouldn't have to explain the reasons why I want a BIOLOGICAL child of my own.. Furthermore, do you have any idea how expensive and hard it is to adopt a child? It's actually more expensive than IVF, well it is in my country (Australia), and a very lengthy process. I wouldn't wish infertility on my worse enemy, so please don't judge or criticize women (couples) on the choices they make to hopefully get their own baby (adopted or not), as they are probably already dealing with enough bullshit.. 😤🤦

You're  going  to need to reword your topic... Artificial insemination  costs under  1k,  so i highly doubt thats  what you  meant.      Also any newborn who ends up sick/high fever needs  to be hospitalized  either  way.. hence the reason  most. new parents dont allow an abundance of visitors...... and as far as adoption  vs biological  some people want to feel a child grow inside of them, and thats okay,  and normal.

I know you're "just asking" but maybe first look a bit more into IVF and adoption statistics... you have some pretty weird assumptions, so your question is sort of moot.
And for the record, my parents did both. I was adopted and my sister was conceived by IVF. She's been a hell of a lot healthier than I am (I don't know where you got the "IVF=sick babies" correlation). And, yes, both cost quite a bit of money. And it is true that IVF can cost quite a bit more because it isn't always successful (my mother had several miscarriages with IVF). But adoption has its risks too, for example, when I had severe health issues and had to be hospitalized, there was no medical history to draw upon for a basis of diagnosis. I dealt with issues no one else in my family did because I was genetically different. There are risks and rewards to both, and they are equally valid ways to have children.
As to the ecological/economic factors, they are pretty much the same regardless of how children are conceived. But I personally agree that there is a widespread need for more adoptions or even foster care. Both are wonderful ways to have children, but it doesn't mean that wanting to conceive "your own" child is somehow invalid (and yes, adopted children are 100% "your own", even if they are not "yours" biologically). While I cannot speak personally into what motivates a couple struggling to conceive or who may be infertile, I understand their willingness and need to try anything and everything they can. And bottom line, it's their right to.
