I chose to wear just the one ring. The center stone was hand picked by my husband and is from my engagement ring, which originally had a plain band. When we looked at wedding rings, I didn't like wearing multiple rings, do I decided to upgrade the band. Basically it's my wedding ring with my engagement stone. 
Wear what feels good to you! There are no rules you have to follow.  :)

Beautiful!! I think bands are honestly personal preference. My ring is a little busy too, so I got a simple plain band.. but you don't need to, unless you want one.

there are some that are like a jacket that hugs the ring so it doesnt feel awkward
