My hair is dark and i just dyed it red however, only my roots took the colour😭is it okay to dye my hair again tmrw? it looks so bad! any suggestions?? please help me out

If your hair is dark its not going to go red unless you bleach it first you cant go lighter without bleach

Try this. My hair was black and I did this. There is a low level of bleach already in it and it turns your hair from dark to light to red.

I am a hair stylist. You probably had dye on the parts that are not red. If your hair had never been colored it would come out more even. Once you dye your hair with permanent color you cannot dye it to make it lighter without bleaching out the dyed part first (lightening it). I would go and have it professionally corrected. You can try to dye the root area darker if you want to but it's a risk. Don't apply color to the ends anymore.

There are salon schools that do hair for less than salons. AVEDA &Paul; Mitchell are some examples. I wouldn't suggest doing more to it without a professional.
