Cytotec opinions?

Talked to my doctor a little about induction. I asked if he uses cervidil (I'd done research on that one and concluded I would be ok with it) but he said he uses cytotec, which I've heard not great things about. Just wondering if anyone had cytotec for induction and how it went.

My doctor used cytotec for my induction. Had part of a tablet put in at 1.30am and another at 4.30 am. It did the job of thinning and softening but didn't start labor for me. Dr. broke my water and started pitocin around 8am.

I had JUST cytotec. Got induced 8/8/17. I was 2cm upon arriving at hospital. Within a hour of the doc putting in the cytotec pill I was 3cm. The docs nickname this "cytoBLAST"..because sometimes you go really fast! Anyway..Doc broke my water at 3cm.. I got the epidural after that  By 2:30 I was 10 cm. For me it worked well. I think my son was probably going to come soon anyway..because I dilated so quickly. Good luck !

Hopefully labor will start naturally and you won't need to be induced! (This is just Wishful thinking as I'm 39+4 and hoping it happens for me too lol) 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
