Global warming and Christianity??

Sa

I'm in a debate on Facebook 🙄 about this goddam meme.

This friend of mine is very bent on the idea that celestial movement is provable and therefore we can put our faith in the science that predicts it, while the science that analyzes Earth's climate patterns is "unstable" and "unprovable".

I have provided her numerous pieces of data (mostly from NASA) exclaiming that the science we use to predict the climate patterns is, in fact, valid- and the scientists who have devoted their careers to understanding the Earth's climate are overwhelmingly stating that the Earth IS warming up and we have ample reason to believe humans are the cause of this.

She won't have it. She's still stuck on Eclipse= global warming (which, it doesn't?) and is using this as a basis for her disbelief in global warming. She has yet to provide any data disproving or even challenging the information I provided.

I've known this woman all my life and she is a devout Christian and I know her Christianity plays a role in this for her based on some of her comments (example: refusing data that dates before Christ).

My question is HOW??? How can Christianity play a role in one's disbelief of global warming? How is the existence of global warming AT ALL threatening this religion?

Someone please help me understand.
