Ok ladies, I need ideas on how to train my dog to stop barking 24/7. She use to only bark when someone was knocking on the door, but now she barks at EVERYTHING!! Any little sound sends her into a barking spree. It would bother me except she is a HUGE dog with an EXTREMELY LOUD bark and I need to trian he'd to stop so that 1. I can actually sleep at night and not be scared awake by her. 2. If I have a baby I don't want her to always be scaring it and waking it up. 3. She scares people when she barks! I had a friend come over and she barked because of the knock, but then wouldn't stop even after they were in the home. She scared my friends little girl so bad that she now is terrified of dogs and has nightmares. She use to not bark the second someone I willing let someone come it was in the home. It's gotten out of control fast! I have tried spraying he and news paper. I am going to try a shcok collar, which kind do you recommend? I can try a clicker, how do I use that to get her to stop? And how should I go about positively reinforcing her when she never does the good thing to treat her for??
