Metho shot after persistent Ectopic- SO SAD

I am 8 weeks past my surgery for Ectopic. Which we saved my tube. My hcg levels haven't dropped yet and lingering around 20. My doctor said I have a choice to wait it out and see if it plateaus or get the shot. I am going to get the shot only because it's been long enough and I am so tired and anxious every week of doing blood draws. It causes me a lot of anxiety and I struggle with that weekly. I don't mind having to wait to get pregnant again. My doctor told me I will only need to wait three months after the injection. I think I need to take that time to heal mentally anyways. So I think it's for the best. I am just sad that I have waited this long already and for this to happen. Has this happened to anyone else?
