What do I do about a horrible short haircut 😭😭

Question

So basically I told my hair stylist that I wanted a haircut where my hair was about a centimeter off my shoulders and even showed her the length and all of a sudden I heard a huge “SNIP” and my hair was gone. It’s above my chin and I look like Dora the Explorer. 
I don’t know what to do because school starts in 6 days and we’re not allowed to wear hats or anything like that. Does anyone have ANY recommendations for what to do? It’s so short I can’t even put it in a bun or ponytail. I can’t braid it. I can’t curl it. Anything. I’ve been crying over this for at least 2 hours now because it’s so frustrating. I don’t know what to do. 😭

thank all of you so much for your nice comments! They kinda made me like my hair a little more. I’ve never gone this short and it freaked me out and ow as disappointed when I got it cut. I had been going to the stylist that did it for 10+ years and trusted her with everything. She had a lot going on with her parents health and I guess she was just distracted and got carried away. I’ve been struggling, but I think I’m learning to embrace it like all of you said. I’m kinda starting to not dislike it so much. But again, thank you all for what you said ❤️❤️❤️

Just rock it!!! Be confident it looks great. Hair grows back so dont dwell on it, not worth your energy.

With my hair I twist the front bangs and straighten the rest of try to curl it! It'll grow back! I was able to do the top when I had short hair as well

I personally love it! But I also know no matter how much we all love it, you aren't happy with it, so it won't matter what we think. I say try and rock it, try different styles out, experiment with hair mousse to give a roughed out look if you're really bothered about it looking too much like Dora hair, I've been there and I liked having natural waves to my bob by adding salt spray until it grew out to avoid damage, it seems awful now but it is hair and it will grow back, work with what you have got for now and don't worry what anyone else thinks of it!!

Not much you can do. The good news though, is that it will grow back 😊
You can try wearing headbands, or put in some braids. Look up hairstyles for short hair and try them until you find something that is okay looking for you.

You could always try hair extensions that are cut to match your style but long enough that it makes you feel comfortable in your own skin. I was the hair extension queen in highschool and you can go to Sally's and pay $100 for really good hair extensions and take them to a stylist. I would definitely see a different one and explain to that stylist what happened and ask them to cut the extensions to match your hair. I know your hair isn't this short but this is an example of what I'm saying. There's always a way my love. I'm sorry you feel so bad about your hair. The good news is it will grow back.
