Moving to a new city for my first "real" job on Monday - slightly terrified!

Je

Ok, so I'm a social work graduate in Australia. I graduated at the end of July, and by mid August I had my dream job offer. I'm my new city's newest child protection professional (called child safety officers in my state).

Sunday night at 8pm I finish my last shift as a part time deli worker. I have worked there for 8.5 years since I was 16. On Monday morning at 9am I start my first day as a professional CSO. My whole life is literally doing a 180 overnight.

It will be a 3 hour drive to get there. I know no-one. I've moved out of home, but not to a new city!

My whole life is packed into four bags (and a safe). This has always been one of those future things that felt ages away. Now it's literally right around the corner.

Tell me I'm not crazy for doing this. Tell me your stories of going on a crazy adventure like this to start your life. I'm like a slightly taller version of Bilbo Baggins with a vag and boobies.
