When did your baby sit up on their own, without any help at all?

My son is 7 months on the 29th and still isn't sitting up by himself. He still needs support and still tumbles and leans. Is this normal for his age?

Olivia just started within the last month and she turned 7 months on the 23rd. it's totally normal. just find a motivator that works for him. with my daughter, I would read stories when she was still leaning on stuff and she would sit more upright and reach for the book (which I held slightly above het eye line) but your handsome fella is probably just focusing on other skills right now! don't worry, everyone learns to sit up (and crawl and stand and walk) eventually they just do it at their own pace 💕 other good motivators are thins that encourage him to lean forward into tgat tripod position. Olivia liked blocks and the stacking rings for that. practice makes progress!

5.5 months ish is when my first did. I'd ask his pediatrician.

Mine was 5 months when she sat unassisted. If your pedi isn't worried then I'm sure it's not a problem.  Just keep having him practice to get his core stronger.
