Pregnant...Did I do the right thing

I'm pregnant but I had a vacation booked to Cuba with a friend. I decided to cancel my trip because of Zika virus. My friend is upset she went alone with the kids. Did I make the right choice? What would you do? I also lost my money with no refund 1300. dollars.
