Post period problems..

About 3 or 4 days after my period I get a yeast infection. For the last year or more this has been going on. My doctor had me on the medicine monthly and then I developed an allergy to it so I can't take it anymore. Basically I gotta figured out how to stop them from occurring but I have no idea why I get them. Any ideas?
