What a UTi???

Question

How in the hell i get a Uti and i drink nothing but water. I'm confused. Every week i get some kind of medicine. Sick of this, i think they plotting to try to kill my baby. Can anybody explain this to me please???

Pregnancy makes you more susceptible to infection. Water has nothing to do with it. You can get a UTI from sex, wiping incorrectly, using certain soaps, etc. They're certainly not 'plotting to kill your baby'.

Water doesn't keep you from getting a UTI. It's a bacteria in your urinary tract. You can get it from sex. Wearing the wrong kind of underwear. Not cleaning enough or well enough. And like somebody else said, it's normal with pregnancy. They're not trying to kill your baby 🙄 that's why they monitor so much.

I've gotten 3 UTIs since I've been pregnant. I actually noticed that once I stopped using summers eve they went away. But luckily with my UTIs I never had symptoms they just used like these sticks at the doctors to see if I have one or not ob said sometimes they aren't accurate.

I used to get UTIs so frequently from sex. Now I never do.. so strange. I haven't had a UTI since I gave up dairy. I always wondered if that changed anything but obviously I'll never know. I know how annoying they can be. D-Mannose helped me a lot when I used to get them. It's also a preventative. Not sure if it's safe during pregnancy. It's basically the extract from the cranberry plant. You could talk to a naturopath or someone who knows about those things and ask about the safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding and use it as a preventative when you know it's okay.

I'm on my second round of macrobid to treat UTI. I've never had one in my life before this pregnancy and it sucks!!! I only drink water too so it's bizarre but I'm taking the meds bc I want to stop peeing more than I have to!
