iud removal

Sami

hello everyone,

so, my hubby and I are officially ttc. I had my Paraguard iud removed on Tuesday after almost 2 years so my body could get over my first birth. I'm 36.

so, I'm curious. who has had Paraguard, and did it lower your libido?

sex had been almost a no go, I don't wanna, for this entire two years. at first it was very painful due to 2 scars healing from tears.

then I just told myself it was all the breastfeeding.

but, I'm still breastfeeding a little boob monster toddler, and my sex drive immediately came back at the removal of that Iud.

it's hard to explain, while the physical sensation is obviously the same because I couldn't feel it in just as I can't feel that it is gone, there does seem to be a difference.

after two years of almost zero orgasms, or extremely rare, weak ones, I've easily climaxed everytimr we've had intercourse, and I actually want sex now.

everything I read says because it's not hormonal, it shouldn't affect sex drive. but it also keeps you from getting pregnant by creating fluid toxic to sperm that you just wouldn't have in your genitals otherwise.

a quick search reflects many women asking about low libido with this device, yet the answer is always... nope, it's non hormonal, so sex drive should be the same. you're just depressed.

seems like this is something that may be being ignored. just wondering thoughts about it by those of you who have experienced it.
