evap or positive? -rant

Question

I keep seeing tests that look like the one I took yesterday. Thin, thin blue line. Some are saying positive some are saying evap line. I can't say for the others out there but I can say I took my picture in the time limit. So can you get an evap line right away (in 3 min window)? How is it possible these are all false positives? Really frustrated!

There's multiple people who have had their husbands pee on them and they got an evap too 😂 my husband included. It was so weird. I was like honey youre pregnant!

Answer

Blue test are notorious for thin, blue lines that appear within the time limit. The dye doesn't move through the test properly and it gets hung up on the outer edge of the antibody strip. It's easier to say evap than explain it fully. It's very likely not a positive test at all.
