Choosing Godparents?? Do the godparents have to be a married couple? Or can they be 2 single people? Like the mom's best friend and the husband's best friend??

I dont have a god father. My god mother is my mothers best friend. It doesn't matter.

We went with my cousin and my SOs brother. They're the two we would trust with our daughter if anything were to happen to us. That was far more important to me than making other people happy.

We're doing my sister and our Male best friend. Our male best friend is married to a wonderful woman but I want my sister (only sibling) to be my first babies god mother. If we have other children it will most likely be a set of friends that are also not married. 
If you have a married couple that you love and would want them to both be that's also okay!

My best friend is the god mother she is engaged and her SO will be as  involved as he wants to be my child is their child. I have a goddaughter and when I become her god mother I was single and now have a SO he loves her to death.

My godparents were my aunt and uncle who are married. My brother's was my dad's sister and my mom's oldest brother. I know some people who choose friends. It's all what you want and who you want.
