So we saw a post for a free turkey online. It was missing a leg, said it was amputated (so I assumed a vet did it). We got her because I have experience with special needs birds and I don't mind putting in the extra time. I got there, she was in such a small dog crate she couldn't move. Good part of her feathers were plucked out, and it turns out they did an at home amputation because it was infected. All this shit can be hard to stomach. (We have taken 15 neglected chickens, four neglected goats ((two far worse neglected than the others)) and this is by far the hardest one to see yet)
