Have you missed periods while on birth control?

I was taking Diane-35 for a month and after I finished my 21 day cycle on 8/18, I skipped a day (cuz I was waiting for my period to come) I started taking Aubra-28 on 8/20 and still haven't gotten my period. Is it at all possible that I'm pregnant or is it normal to miss a month when you start a new kind of birth control?

I'm having unprotected sex once or twice a week.

I was diagnosed with PCOS.

My doctor said since I was taking Diane 35 consistently I was protected by the pills. But I don't have much experience with birth control so I'm still worried that I'm not getting my period, because my period usually starts 1-3 days after I finish a 21 day cycle of Diane-35.

I'm trying this new kind of pills cuz I gained 40lb in 3 months once on Diane-35.

My doctor made me take test on 8/17 before she gave me the new pills and it was negative.

I have had unprotected sex once since that negative result(on 8/17). He did pull out.

I'm not a teenager that's new to sex I just never had a lot of experience on birth control because my mom is convinced that the pills make you Infertile and didn't want me to take them. (which was stupid because I've been sexually active)

This is not a very healthy relationship and I basically don't have a say on whether he uses condoms or not. Please don't be mean I just wanna know if it's normal to miss one period at the start of a new kind of birth control.
