ugh, I know everyone has questions about the belly button, so here is mine. 3 weeks old with an outty. he lost his stump last week. since then, a gooey yellow thing has been around the inside. its been a week. it doesnt smell, sometimes some of it will get on the outter area of his belly button and will dry up enough for me to take it off. but the rest is still inside. since he has an outty, its harder for air to get in there for it to dry. hes been in only a diaper for the week so it could air dry. doctor instructed me to ONLY keep the stump dry, DONT use any alcohol on it. what else could I do? am i able to wash it out now?
