Is IUI painful? HSG had to be done under anaesthesia...

Jessica

Hi everyone! Hubby and I are about to start our first IUI next month, using Clomid and Ovidrel. I had surgery on Jun 28th because my cervix was completely closed during HSG. After doing the HSG under general anesthesia, the Dr. performed laparoscopic surgery and removed a cyst on my right ovary, and also found that my uterus is severely retroverted and I have severe adhesions binding my bowel to my uterus (appx 6 inches), and my tubes are mangled as well, all from a prior spinal fusion that was done through my abdomen. I'm terrified of the IUI, because they tried so hard to dilate my cervix (EXTREMELY painful). I'm just curious if anyone could share their story of theirs is similar... I'm so scared that my cervix will be closed back up and they'll have to dilate again... any advice would be SOOO appreciated...
