Do you think that severe period cramps are a valid reason to call in sick to work?

So I do warehouse work. I'm in my feet all day, doing semi heavy lifting, working up a sweat.

I started my period today and my cramps are sooooo bad. Like the worst they have ever been in years. I can barely stand up, I'm in so much pain. I'm going to somehow pull through the rest of the day - but I'm thinking of calling in sick tomorrow if it doesn't improve because I can barely even get anything done rn. It's unbearable even to do the easiest tasks. 😭😭 I feel like I'm giving birth
