Would it be rude/wrong to have to ask for a baby shower? (It's not about gifts)

It is not about gifts, it is about tradition. No sisters or even sisters in law.  Assumption would be best girlfriend(s) or close cousins would do it - but what if no one offers?

No. I would have a baby shower if I had more than 2 people I actually talked to.

If you just want s celebration throw yourself a sip and see after the baby is born

Dont ask.. Its rude . people should offer , if they Dont then throw it yourself 😉 . I have a friend that was just asked, but felt like she couldn't say no (and I wouldve felt the same way). She was soo pissed when she had to do everything and pay for half the stuff when she didn't plan on it. She spent hundreds of her money (+ it was kind of short notice) 😑😑 take someone shopping with you but plan it and pay for it yourself if no one offers

I think it's fine to throw it yourself or even ask a friend... I bet if you ask a friend they'll jump all over it and plan it. I would! Other option is a gender reveal party... then you can still celebrate.

I had no one offer to throw a baby shower for me when I was pregnant with me son. So I just threw it myself with my husband! And honestly I'm glad no one did it for me. We were able to do exactly what we wanted with the celebration and we didn't have to worry about being in someone else's debt.
