Mirena Coil contraception question

Hey ladies!

I hope you can help and I understand that this may not be the correct forum to write in... I tried searching for one contraception related without any luck and thought that a lot of the women in this forum are probably on contraception so thought it would be good to ask!

I had the Mirena coil fitted the Thursday just gone and I've had some painful cramps in my right thigh! Is this normal and how long should it last? The doctor who fitted it, said I would experience some cramping, but I assumed that meant my tummy and I've experienced that also.
