Invetro??

Hi.. my name is Ashley and I was told by my doctor that my husband and I can have babies but his sperm can't get into the egg.... my doctor stated that the best thing to do is invetro... please let me know your thoughts..

Is it motility issues? IUIs may work for that and that's a lot cheaper than ivf. We had morphology issues in addition to motility so our IUIs likely didn't work because the sperm couldn't break through the egg's exterior due to such poor morphology... we are are starts the stims for ivf this Saturday. Hoping after more than 2 years this will finally give us our little miracle.

If the issue is his morphology, we have the same issue and were told IVF with ICSI is our only real chance to conceive, because they manually choose the best looking sperm and they manually inject one into each retrieved egg.

If the issue is the Soren can't physically penetrate the egg, then IVF with ICSI is what you need. An IUI wouldn't help with that. Good luck to you- IVF is not an easy journey, but you'll figure it out and you'll be fine!
