What kind of backpack do you have?

I'm so confused lol I dont know what kind of back pack I should get, I'm going into my first year so I have no clue what to expect... 
post pictures of you bags so I can see what the look like?

North face bags are the best! nice storage, but looks compact and not to bulky. I have a borealis and it has lasted me for 5+ years so far!!!

I use this one. I'd prefer for it to have more minor pockets inside and out (it only has one inside), but it's big and strong enough. Hoping it will last the next 5 years lol

I got this one for my first year and has turned out to be great! I am not one to like flashy things so I like that this one is more plain and grey but could still look girly if you wanted it to. It has like 3 huge pockets and 2 smaller ones so it holds a bunch of stuff. Plus i have a really big laptop and it has a section just for laptops and it holds my laptop perfectly!  this bag has lasted me 2 years of college and still looks brand new. This is the backpack I have

It's fantastic. It has a cushioned laptop sleeve, supported backing and bottom, can hold around 7 books (I tested this with 5th edition Dungeon and Dragons books), it's very comfortable and cute, and most important it's not heavy. I recently bought this (and it was on sale for 20$ at target when I did), and before this one I had one that was just cute. No pockets or support. When going to school I carry 2 notebooks, 2 folders, a blanket, my laptop and it's charger and mouse, and my Nintendo 3ds (and pens and pensicls but that doesn't really matter right now). In my old backpack everything was so heavy it hurt my back to carry it all (I have scoliosis so back pain is serious for me). In this new backpack everything feels so light I have no pack pain I can carry this forever. I 100% recommend this backpack it's the best I've ever had.

I've had a Swiss gear bag that's pretty massive my entire university career (7yrs- I replaced my first one after 4yrs). It's pretty big since it has to fit my laptop, planner, note pad, pencil case, computer charger, lunch, any textbooks I need for studying and things like hair ties, pain killers and make up for emergencies. It's a great bag and worth the money I spent. I don't know anyone that doesn't use a backpack (generally a larger one that can fit a 17in laptop and has tons of padding) for school. Granted I'm in the sciences/vet med so things may be different in other faculties where courses require different things.

I only have tiny cute backpacks.. I usually just bring my purse, planner, and the notebook and/or binder I need for that class/classes that day. You really don't need to carry much at all the first week..
