feel like a failure
I've been exclusively breast fed for 5 weeks now, I've not once considered a bottle... Until now. For the past 2-3 weeks my baby has been showing signs of colic (screaming drawing his knees up, making fists). I put off infacol for as long as I could until I couldn't stand seeing my baby in pain, fast forward about day 4 of colic, we had our baby back so calm and content, however he because constipated and has only done 1 very thick and sticky poo in the last 4 days which is very unusual for him we took him off infacol after the first day of no pooping as you could see him pushing and screaming in pain. Since then we've been using gripe water for his pain but it's just not helping. He's back on infacol today and I'm taking him to doctors first thing in the morning, typical it's a bank holiday so they are closed. All I've heard is how uncommon colic is for a bf baby so I'm now seriously considering switching to formula but I love breastfeeding and I don't like using anything artificial with him (too many horror stories on social media) but I honestly don't know what else I can do, feel like it's my fault.
