Had sex with a tampon in ... HELP

This past friday (so 3 days ago) I had a tampon in cause I was spotting a bit, went out to the club and ended up having sex with this guy. I also got my Mirena IUD replaced this past Wednesday, and I was kinda drunk so I remember making him stop during sex because I was paranoid he'd mess up my IUD or something. But in the morning I felt as deep as I could for the IUD strings but couldn't feel them but also didnt feel the tampon so I'd assumed I'd taken it out in the bathroom.

GUESS NOT because I just pushed it out of myself and I'm thouroughly grossed out and embarassed.. and scared! Has this ever happened to any of you? I had a pap smear scheduled for today anyways so I'm planning on talking to my doc about it but wow I feel like such an idiot.
