When to start buying stuff

Hi ladies! I'm 8 weeks tomorrow.  When did y'all start buying clothes and diaper bags and blankets and all that stuff for baby? Did u wait until 3 trimester? I know 8 weeks is way to early. But I want to buy everything I see already haha.

I waited until around the 20-week mark. there's so many things to get and baby shopping is so much fun! the thing is, if you go ahead and purchase everything right now, you're going to have a long way to head of you with no excuse to buy anything LOL. go window shopping. Take the time to research so you don't buy something now and then 4 months down the line realize there were 10 better options. I started keeping a Pinterest board when I was pregnant and my son is here and I still use it to Mark baby items that I'm interested in so I can compare. shopping for your child is both fun and costly so at the end of the day it feels really good to know that you made good decisions with each of your purchases. when it comes to clothes, make sure to consider the time of year your baby is going to be born going to be born. people gifted us tons of adorable winter things that we ended up just packing away because my son only grow into them in the middle of summer LOL

I waited until we found out the sex - after 16 weeks. Trust me I think waiting is better because now I've accumulated so much stuff before my baby shower and I'm overwhelmed hahah

I'm waiting to find out the gender and even then I don't want to buy too much because you'll have a baby shower also! It's so hard not to buy everything but you don't want to buy so much you won't use it all either !

The biggest thing I would suggest buying like in a month is diapers and wipes 
You can never have too many of those. Once I hit 12 weeks I have been buying diapers and wipes each pay day.

Are you planning on having a baby shower? If so, wait until then. You'll get plenty of baby blankets, outfits, diapers, wipes, etc. then if you get any items then you don't need, are duplicates, you can return them (if you know where it came from and they used your registry to buy the items) and get what you may still need. Take this time to look for second hand stuff like a convertible crib, swing, etc. I waited until my maternity leave (4 weeks before due date) to set stuff up and do last minute shopping but of course you can do all that when you are further along and have the time if you don't get maternity leave like that.
