Looking for some gestational diabetes advice...

I was just diagnosed with gestational diabetes last week and have since kept a very strict diet. I have all of my after meal blood sugars under control but have not been able to get my fasting blood sugar where it needs to be. I was put on glyburide and was also told I'll have to go to ultrasounds and fetal non-stress tests TWICE a week until the baby is born. Has this happened to anyone else? Did you deliver early? What was your experience? I'm scared.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
