First midwife appointment?!

What happens at your first midwife appointment as I'm 6 weeks pregnant and have my midwife appointment the 12th of September and don't know what to expect? Help is needed!

I'm from the UK and had mine Friday. They took urine and blood samples, ran through family health history and booked my scan. Took about 40 minutes in total. Nothing to worry about. Not sure if things will be slightly different where you are though. Good luck ♥️ x

This is my 2nd pregnancy, I'll tell you what they did for me both times. I've been to two different midwives/hospitals but it was pretty much the same routine. They ask medical history for you, your family, your partner and his family. They check urine and do blood tests. Then it's a pelvic exam, pap smear(if your due for one) and breast exam. They'll also go over pregnancy dos & donts and go over basics.  If your far enough along they might try listening for heartbeat. My first midwife did at 9 weeks but my new one won't even try until 12 weeks. Congrats & Good luck!
