Labor before scheduled c-section?

I have my c-section scheduled on 9/6. I'll be 39 weeks and 3 days. 
Have any of you ladies gone into labor before your scheduled c-section? If so, what was your experience?

One emergency cesarean followed by two vbac births then another three cesareans. Second cesarean (#4 kid) I went into labor at midnight and had to report to the hospital at 7am for a 9am cesarean. Nurse asked how I was feeling any pains and whatnot. Informed her I was in labor and had been since midnight. This being my fourth they rushed because they thought I would deliver before the surgery and having a vbac was against hospital policy at the time. Never had a faster delivery than that one.

I had induction set for a Friday and water broke early Tuesday morning

I had an emergency C section but was scheduled to be induced on 9/18 (last year). I showed no signs of labor AT ALL and just went to the doctor's the Friday before. I was in for a surprise when I started to have contractions the day before my induction. I still wasn't dilated though! And since I was already supposed to be there on Sunday (9/18), the hospital and I agreed that I might as well be induced since it was Saturday (9/17). I was induced around 3 pm and was fully dilated almost 24 hours later.
