So I'm about as decisive as a weatherman accurately accessing the weather...doesn't happen very often and everyone is surprised when it happens. I don't know what I want for my rings...I finally surrendered control to the SO and he says he has something in mind (the jeweler we went to joked about I looked like I was a 2...carat, come to find out my boyfriend may have actually been looking in the same store while I was drooling at a cute dress in a store a ways down from Kay's Jewelry so it might actually be 2 carats)

The thing is... I don't know what I want but I know what I don't want which is an insanely expensive ring.... I am not a materialistic person and he is VERY much interested in getting the best available of whatever he's after.

How do I tell him without hurting his feelings? Do I shut up and say nothing? I know, no matter what, I will love whatever I get, I just don't want him to set himself back because of a ring, that isn't what's important to me. I already know that I want to get him a fancy, shiny titanium band with a little diamond in the band.
