confused

I ended up going to ER today because of heavy bleeding. Doctor did blood test and ultrasound and it all looks good. Was so happy to see the heart beating. Before I left the doctor told me to check with my regular obgyn to check hcg levels. I asked if it was possible for miscarriage even after everything was normal, he said they can't rule it out and it might be just too early. Now I am just worried. has anyone had that happen?
