how do I tell my mom I don't want an abortion?

She made me an appointment at planned parenthood and I don't want to go through with it. I'm a senior I'm 17 and 10 weeks pregnant, she says I have so much ahead of me, and I do believe that but I really don't want to do this. How do I even tell her?

If she is forcing you, when you go into the room tell the doctor "I don't want an abortion I'm being forced"
They will not force you to have the abortion.
Being a teen mom is hard, but nobody should be forced into an abortion.

If you don't want to go through with it then don't. People in general will always tell you to make a decision based off of their perspective. Because maybe they wouldn't be able to handle it, or be happy with a certain decision. Alway follow you gut. Even if it doesn't turn out the way you expected at least you did what you thought was best for you. Sit her down and tell her exactly how you feel. Why you feel that way. And your plans moving forward on how your going to support yourself, your child, and succeed in whatever it is you plan to do with you life. She may be disappointed but she'll come around. They always do specking from experience.

First of all...i was 17 when i found out i was pregnant ...i a, now 18 and 21 weeks... i have a stable boyfriend and a stable job as i dropped out of school now im a reservations agent making 14.50 a hour and my boyfriend is 26 and we now have a 2 bedroom place so we can raise a child... you have to think of the reality but everyone kept telling me how i have so much life ahead of me and this and that ..I was gonna do a abortion but my gut feeling was telling me not too so i didnt and my life has got so much better since then ... i am happier then can be with my little girl harley on the way... you have to be stable is the baby daddy involved ? Are you working? make sure you stable ..dont bring a baby into the world with no support ... it took a while for everyone to come around but now they are happier as can be ..my mom is extatic .you have lots to think about.

i didn't go thru anything like this but that is your baby if u want it keep it. i say if u made the baby u keep the baby. there is people out here in this cold world where they cant even have babies, so take that into consideration and open ur mouth and tell them what u think how u feel and tell them what u are going to do.

My cousin was 16 when she had her son. I'm not saying it was easy, but she knew she wanted that baby and despite her parents wanting her to give him up for adoption she stuck to her beliefs and her love for that baby. She finished school, got a job, and is now looking into college. You will have struggles. But at the end of it all the joy of being a mother will make it all worth while. I know my cousin can't imagine her life without her son. I don't know what your relationship is like with your parents but if this is what you want, to raise YOUR child, then stand up for that baby. Because that's what parenthood is about. Being the voice for your child when they dont yet have their own. Hope this helped.

She can not force you to have an abortion. Even if she drags you to the appointment all you have to do is tell every staff member that you do not give consent for any procedure and your mother forced to to come there. I think you should tell her before it gets to that point though that you will not be having the procedure if that's what you want. Let her know that even if she gets you there you won't be allowing anything to happen to your body that you do not consent to because it is 100% YOUR decision.

I too have never been through something like this but my mom and sister has. My mom almost aborted my brother but ended up not going through with it. You should do what you feel is right. My opinion is that baby is a life its just as important as mine and yours. God gave you this baby. You may not be ready but you know he/she is coming so you need to get ready. You have 7 months. If you want him/her then you need to remember that when their born it's no longer about you, it's about that child. No dumping them in your mom or baby sitter bc you want to go out or party or w/e. Again it won't be easy but you can do it.  You need to talk to your mom. You know what she is like, be prepared for if she kicks you out or worse. I'm saying, have a plan. She may see your side and decide to help you through it and if she does that's AMAZING, not all mothers are like that! But remember you're bring a life into this world. Consider the fathers family and the father as well. You don't have to post it but what does he want? It's his child too. Worse case you give the baby up for adoption to parents who cant have kids or the dad gets custody and you visit your child, regularly if you want. There are other options besides death. You can finish HS and get a diploma and you can go to college online or take night courses or something. But it all starts with the conversation and a plan. Like I said tho from today forward your life will be about that boy/girl growing inside of you. Taking care of them while they are sick, check ups, school, homework, clothes, food, toys, everything; even when you dont "feel" like it - it does matter anymore. You may be tired of hearing them cry at 2am every night for a month when all you want to do is sleep and you have to be up a dawn but that child is a beautiful and precious life who needs you. Just...be prepared and have the talk with mom. I think you should keep him/her if you want. Always options. 👩‍👦❤️ congratulations girl!
