I think I bled pretty much straight after, which started off heavy but got lighter pretty quickly. It last for just under two weeks. My period regulated quickly after, about a month. But my cycles are now longer than what they used to be.

At 2 weeks following a medication abortion 80% of women are still spotting. At one month out, 20% of women are still spotting. Her period should come in 4-8 weeks after the medication abortion. Hormonal birth control should taper her bleeding down a little faster after the abortion, and may give her a more predictable first period following the abortion.
