what do I do????

Question

My baby fall from the couch and then this morning he fell from the bed. I don't know what to do. I checked him and he looks fine but I don't know what to do. Should I call his doctor? This is the second fall. He is 7 months and a half

First, try to prevent future falls. Place baby on floor, bouncer, swing, high chair (use the straps). If yours is anything like mine... he moves way too much and too fast! I'm sure your baby is ok.. and falls are going to happen! Just monitor, if anything seems off don't hesitate to call your dr just to be safe!

Poor thing. Is he being left alone on the couch and bed? No judgement at all, but if so, maybe put him on the floor before you leave the room? He should be okay, babies are very resilient.

Watch for signs of head injury but your baby is likely fine.
Don't leave your infant unattended on high surfaces and always use the straps to chairs, bouncers, swings etc. They are much too unpredictable at this age. I had an infant patient once come in with two broken ribs from a fall, so although they are hardy little buggers they can still break. It's important we prevent falls whenever we can. You're not the first mom to have their infant fall and you won't be the last, so don't beat yourself up. If you need to set baby down set them on the floor or secure them in a chair/bouncer.

Check baby's eyes too. Like you would at an eye exam, put something your baby likes to look at in front of him and move it side to side up and down, if he follows he should be okay. Also make sure pupils look the same size.

This happened to my daughter too, months apart. Check for any obvious bumps and bruises, but he's probably fine. Babies are shock absorbent I swear lol
 
If he's acting abnormal during the next 24 hours I'd call a doctor to feel safe. But really he's more than likely ok. 😁

Prevention is the best solution for this sort of thing. Maybe he should be supervised. I hope he's ok! Do you at least have carpet?
