How do you stop ttc?

So my SO and I have been ttc for over 2 years. And I'm tired of trying and then being let down due to AF coming to town or like right now. I'm 3 days late and still got a BFN. Everyone around us is/have had baby's and/or are on their 2nd pregnancy since. All we keep getting from people is "it will happen when you least expect it." "stop trying" How do you "stop trying"? I don't get it.

It's impossible to stop trying! Like I can't shut my brain down from thinking about it?! I'm there with you ladies. Hopefully it will be our turn soon

We are in the same boat/timeline. We took a break for 6 months. Best decision ever! 
Before we restarted, i gave myself a deadline. 3 months of trying before my 35th birthday. After that, if still BFN, no more.
I feel relaxed and ready to do this again!

It's really hard to stop trying. In order to stop trying you have to stop thinking and worrying about it. Which is nearly impossible if being pregnant is something you really want. But it worked for me with my first pregnancy. My ex husband and I stopped talking about anything baby related. And I stopped buying tests. Which was the hardest part!!! I stopped checking my bbt. I stopped checking my CM. 
It's really hard hun, I'm not gonna lie. But god has a plan for everyone! 💜 Good luck!
