I'm moving in 6 months to another state and my boyfriend and I don't know what to do. We've been together for two years and my job is the reason I'm moving. I'm 21 and I've only ever lived at home with my family; I'm not ready to live with him yet, I feel it's important for me to live alone before choosing to live with my significant other. I feel like I need that experience first, however, he doesn't get or understand that. He's even said he'd rather break up than do long distance.

He doesn't know what to do and nor do I. If we do long distance, advice ??! Please. Anything helps. And if he moved to the same state is it dumb if he got an apartment and we lived separate?
