How long are your BF babies feeding for at a time?

My baby is 6 days old. I had a massive hemmorage post partum and the blood loss has inhibited my supply, and baby has a tongue tie that was revised yesterday. We have no access to a lactation consultant, needles to say feeding has been a challenge!
I'm curious about your early experiences - how many times a day did your baby BF and for about how long did they feed?

My son was eating every 2 hours for a max of 5 minutes on one breast only. He was gaining enough weight and was making the appropriate of wet & dirty diapers so his pediatrician assumed it's because I was producing more than he could eat.

my 3 week old daughter usually eats about every two hours during the day. she'll feed for no more than ten or fifteen minutes and by then she is dozing off. sometimes she'll feed for five or six minutes. but like the poster below me said, she poops and pees 24/7 lol. and she's gaining good weight. i think as long as baby gains weight and fills diapers you should be good!

My daughter feeds roughly every three hours. 80% of the time, she feeds off both breasts for 5-10 minutes each, depending. Sometimes during the night, she'll only feed off one for ten minutes and knocks out. Other nights she's awake for an hour nursing on and off from both.
