Transiting into their own rooms?

Question

So my little one is almost 8 months and sleeps in our room in his own bed. He sleeps through the night most nights. The nights he does he wakes around 3:30-430. At what age is best to transition them in to their own rooms?
To be honest I think it will be hard on me than him when the time comes.

we moved my daughter into her room at 7 months (she was 3 wks early, so closer to 6 months adjusted). I hated it but I decided to bite the bullet then bc we were coming back from a camping trip so it was like a fresh start. I slept on her floor the first night and sometimes if she wakes up around 5, I'll sleep in there too bc I can't be bothered to go get comfy in bed for only another 2 hours tops. she doesn't care at all, but we did start wth having her nap in there for a month or two. I also had to rearrange the room once I realized a few things were distracting and how the neighbors always slam their car doors 😒    the only other difference is that when she was in her pack n play she wouldn't lose her binky or lovey and that woke her up quite a bit in her crib at night. we had to get mesh crib bumpers and it's been MUCH better, she will self soothe as long as she can get her binky and isn't hungry. but I do miss having her next to me still and would have kept her in my room if my husband hadn't made such a big deal of it

Well we give sleeping in his own a try this weekend. The first night he sleep in his room for only 3.5 hrs. But last night he sleep all night and even slept longer in the morning. 
So for now we will take sleeping in his own bed one night at a time.

I moved my daughter at 4 months! She's was a loud sleeper, I'm a super light sleeper...we both kept waking each other up all night when she was in our room. We've all slept much better since we transitioned her!

We moved our bub into her room at 6 months and it was 100% hard on me and a piece of cake for her. She slept in a nest so her bed was the same as it had always been which made it easier. Transitioning from her nest to just her crib was also seamless, when they're ready it's easier. I would say give it a shot and just see how it goes! Your baby will honestly likely not even notice. You can start by putting his current bed in his room and then switching to the crib after a few nights when you're ready.

We kept our son in our room until 6 months. I don't think there was much to the transition, I just popped him in there and stared at the monitor all night lol

I moved my daughter into her own room at 7 months, she has no problem with it. It was a little sad and I was worried but I had the monitor next to me all night so I could always check on her. 
But there's definitely no rush, whenever you're ready!

It's recommended that babies sleep in their parents rooms until 12 months (so I've heard) but really, it's up to you when you want to move your child to their room. Whatever you're comfortable with!
