I got my blood results today by phone and was told I am a carrier of Cystic Fibrosis (a lung disease) that can kill your baby or will have it when he/she is older. They have to test the father to see if he is a carrier also, if he isn’t and I’m in the only carrier then there is a RARE chance our son will have it. But if he gets tested and he has it then we have to have the baby tested with a needle through my stomach to the amniotic sac to test the amniotic fluid to see if our son has it so they can tell us before he is born. The sooner we know the sooner we can make a decision. If our son has it we won’t be able to afford all the things needed for him to survive. I’ve done research and there’s a lot of treatment that we just can’t afford. So if our son has it we can make the decision to abort so that he doesn’t suffer if we just don’t have the money to have all the things needed constantly to treat him.. will be the hardest thing but all we can do is pray my baby is well💔
