Panting like a dog??

Question

whenever i play catch the ball with my cat, he starts panting ; thongue out and heavy breathing just like a dog. I know its unusual for cats to pant so im worried , the vet wont reply to my email. Any ideas? PS:  custard and I used to play catch the ball everyday from when he was just a kitten(its his fav game!) ,and this never happened until 3 days ago.

The vet wont reply to your EMAIL? How about going to the practice? Or at the very least call the practice!

I used to have a bunch of cats and they all panted after spending a while playing or when it was really hot outside. I personally wouldn't be worried about it unless there are other things showing. like coughing or something.

My kittens do this!! After a nice little play sesh they pant all the time lol I'm sure it's the same reason why a dog would pant 😊

I'm thinking your cat could just be getting old and tired. But I have no clue if cats do this like dogs because they are hot. Only time I've seen my cat do it  was when she gave birth. You might just call up the vet instead of emailing. He might ask you to come in for tests. Good luck to your little baby 😊

My cats only ever pant when they're horny haha.  Bathing themselves and all of a sudden you see one like their dick and then looks at me tongue hanging out panting.  Your cat is probably just really stimulated from something.
