Period or mc?

For those that have gone through a mc what was your first period like after the fact? I've heard some say it's awful. I mc on July 21st. August 6th my levels were 11. On August 24th I started spotting and had what seemed like a period but it was just like any other period. I spotted it was heavy for a day or two and then tapered off with more spotting. I usually will spot brown afterwards but it's all been bright red or pink. I'm wondering if it was a period at all or still part of the mc?
