Cervix is short.. bed rest helps or not?

Question

Dr told me I have very short cervix.. they put me on progesterone for one week.. if not working they may take stitches.. is anyone know abt dis n bed rest help or not. Just 16 weeks 🙈

It's helped for me. I've had short cervix issues my entire pregnancy and they stuck me on bed rest (I can still do things around the house just no lifting or pushing and I can't be out for more then a couple hours at a time) at 23 weeks. I'm 31 weeks now and my cervix is still super short but we're still holding on. My specialist refers to my twins as his miracle babies because he thought I wasn't going to make it this far and he's still surprised that I haven't wound up in the hospital for the rest of my pregnancy. There was talk of progesterone supplements and doing a cerclage but studies have shown it doesn't really make a huge difference in twin pregnancies and the bed rest is obviously helping.
