cloth diapers vs store bought

money wise which is cheaper? I can see having to spend money to buy diapers and that can be pricey whereas cloth ones you don't have to buy all the time but you have to clean them often which can be pricey as well in electricity or gas if you are always washing them or for those that live in apartments always have to pay for laundry. so what's yoir experience with either of them.
