Needle/Wedding Ring and thread old wives tale?

How many of y'all have tried this? My husband and I both had the exact same outcome, girl, girl, boy, girl, girl, boy. We've been TTC for 9 months and he's about to deploy in a few days so I was getting anxious. I'm only on cycle day 19 so I tired the needle over my belly and it went in a circle then stopped. I tried it on my 13 y/o sister who definitely isn't pregnant and no movement at all.

So my friend did this. It predicted 2 boys and 2 girls then 2 boys. except she already had 2 girls and no boys. She ended up having 2 boys. She is now with an amazing man who has 2 older boys. so it ended up being accurate.

I did this. It said boy boy girl. I already have a boy, but not trying for another for a few years so I'm not much help but ya never know
