Split placenta??

Question

Hey ladies , I'm currently 25 weeks pregnant and my OB told me they noticed on my last ultrasound that my placenta was split . She didn't give much detail other then they have to make sure both pieces come out during delivery . Has this happened to any one here ? Is it dangerous for my baby ?? I try not to look things up on google  I'd rather get feed backs on here

I got told I had an accessory placenta, which basically means a little extra piece. She said the same thing, that they just have to make sure all of it comes out during delivery. She said other than that there is absolutely no problem with having it. Not sure if it's similar to what you have.

I'd be curious too! I've never heard of that.  I'm surprised your ob didn't answer those questions! or offer more explanation.
