Rainbow Baby- Same or Different Gender?

Question

We are TTC our rainbow baby after having a still birth daughter on June 8th, 2017.  We had a perfect pregnancy and I didn't know she was gone until I went into labour.  
I know that I want another daughter next.  And I'm afraid that if I get a son I will be disappointed.  Anyone have any similar feelings?

My daughter was stillborn at 38+2 in Jan 2015.  Since then I've miscarried twice early...but am pregnant now and 10+6.  We should find out gender any day now...I had NIPT blood work done.  I have a wonderful 8 year old son and 16 year old stepson, so I love boys...I am worried I may be devastated at first if this is not a girl :(

I feel the same way! I had twin boys in 2002. Baby A was stillborn. My husband and I tried for almost 8 years before we were blessed with another beautiful baby boy July 2016♡ He was born at 24 weeks 4 days, but passed away when he was 2 months 6 days old from a bacterial infection. We are TTC again and we would love more than anything to have another baby boy!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. We have two beautiful girls already this was our third and last. I wanted a boy SO badly. For the first time we didn't find out the gender -until my water broke and we lost him at 22 weeks. It's awful to feel the experience was made that much worse because it was the BOY that I so desperately wanted. So now as we start to ttc again I'm so worried I won't get to have a son. That I lost my chance. I was robbed of my boy. I'm doing all the crazy preconception things to "sway boy" but in the end I'm going to be so worried to find out the gender. I will definitely need to know this time to prepare myself either way. No surprises this time, good or bad!

I had the exact same feelings except my angel baby was a boy and I was hoping for a boy. We ended up finding out we had a girl and we were both in shock even the tech noticed. I was a bit sad for 3 daya but a week later it truly sunk in and now we're happy. My bf even said he was glad it was a girl instead because he started looking at all these nursery ideas and that got him excited. You're not a bad person if you feel a certain way. I totally understand!!!

I've thought about this a lot.... with my son we didn't find out his gender until he was born (I always knew it was a boy though) and I had never planned on finding out with subsequent pregnancies. Now though I feel like I need to find out as I will have enough stress when I give birth without worrying how I will feel about my babies gender.
Honestly though I think I will struggle either way, if I have a girl because I want a boy and if I have a boy because it will remind me of my son.
