Just need a little reassurance...

My and my SO had sex on Aug.8 and on Aug.26, I have take two pregnancy test since the first time, both were negative. But I'm a little worried since I had protected sex during my fertile week. I have no "symptoms" per se, but I'm nervous. Should I test when my period is due? BTW, I had a period after I had sex on Aug.8.
